Measuring Guide
Mystic Screens are custom made to order and cannot be resized. Accurate measurements are essential for a perfect fit.
Measuring the Height
- Take 3 measurements: left, center, and right from the header to the floor.
- Use the shortest of these 3 measurements as your Opening Height.
- Round your measurement up to the closest 1/16".
- Standard 3/4" brush seals handle floor slopes up to 1/2". Larger slopes may require wider brush piles.
Measuring the Width
- Measure from the inside of the jamb on one side to the inside of the jamb on the other.
- Take 3 measurements: top, middle, and bottom.
- Use the shortest of these 3 measurements as your Opening Width.
- Round your measurement up to the closest 1/16".
Calculating Ordered Size
- Recess Mount Units: Ordered Size = Opening Size.
- Surface Mount Width: Opening Width + 4 1/2".
- Surface Mount Height: Opening Height + 8 1/2".
- Important: Surface mounts require 8 1/2" of clear space above the header.
Technical Note
Units must be installed level, plumb, and square. For Recess mounts, the side face of the top of each side rail must line up perfectly with the side cap of the hood.
